Two prisoners flee Iowa reformatory
Two Iowa prison escapees gave themselves up Sunday night, but two more took off about the same time from another institution and were still being sought today. At Anamosa the Iowa Men's Reformatory reported Des Moines trusties Larry Ford and Larry Agee missing around 11 p.m. Ford, 28, and Agee, 25, had been working outside the wall. Ford faced breaking and entering and jailbreak terms, Agee forgery and jailbreak. A separate group from Montrose's Prison Farm No. 3—William Eicher, 38, armed robbery, and Robert Shumate, 56, illegal narcotics—voluntarily surrendered Sunday evening.

Eleven people died on Iowa highways over the weekend raising the 1965 toll to 670 from 709 a year ago. In a two car crash near Spencer Mrs. Marylou Goeck of Spirit Lake died on arrival at Spencer Municipal Hospital. Her husband Melvin and two children survived with injuries. A separate crash near Graettinger killed Ralph Munson, 22, who apparently slept at the wheel.
