Merger of Churches Is Completed in Keokuk Presbytery
A commission appointed by Keokuk presbytery completed the merger of First and Second United Presbyterian churches. The Second church’s membership and property were transferred to the merged body and announced at the United Presbyterian church. Trusteeship of the Second church building and site was transferred to Washington Loan and Trust Company and four trustees, with legal steps now complete. Members present included Rev. W. B. McCrory, Rev. W. C. Porter, Rev. John T. Aiken, and Harvey Barnes.
