Court finds Sellers blameless in securities suit
District Court Judge Ira F. Morrison dismissed a civil suit seeking nearly 12 000 from Jay Sellers of Washington over a Participation Mortgage Certificate issued by FMI of Davenport. The ruling found the certificate exempt from state registration and that Dorrance failed to prove fraudulent sales practices or willful misrepresentations. Costs of the proceedings were taxed against the plaintiff.
