The Washington County Treasurer and County Attorney launched a program to collect overdue mobile home taxes. Owners must register with the county treasurer and display current plates or face fines up to 100 dollars or 30 days in jail. Delinquent tax collections exceed 6000 dollars, and cases may lead to mobile home sales at the courthouse steps as liens are senior. Taxes are due in two halves with deadlines in February and August.
