Amish father defies fines as Iowa deputies seize livestock
Hazleton Iowa UPI deputies seized five hogs and a bank account belonging to Chris Raber as part of actions against Amish fathers who refuse to send children to state certified schools. Raber, one of 15 defiers, faced about 169 dollars in fines and awaited further seizures, saying take what you want and he would wait 70 days to pay before the hogs are sold and funds forfeited.
