Wellman resident Anna Rosalia Irwin 79 died at home from a heart attack. She owned the Park hotel 47 years and lived in Wellman 54 years. Born January 10, 1879, she wed Fred Schroeder in 1900 and Jard S. Irwin in 1941. Burial in Wellman cemetery after services at St. Joseph's Church. Kathryn L Miller of Lisbon died after brain surgery at University Hospital Iowa City following injuries from a two car crash at the junction of highways 22 and 1 in Kalona. The collision between Carroll Hershberger and Bert Edward Miller left Miller and Emery Gingerich injured while Hershberger faced possible charges for failure to yield.
