City Council Approves Air Lift Pump for New Wells
In regular session Mayor McCollum presided as all aldermen attended. The council referred petitions on vacating ground behind Casey's barn to streets and alleys. Tax abatements were granted or referred for several soldiers' widows and other property owners. Six sewer connections were approved and a 45 foot flag pole permit granted. The water committee won approval to install the air lift pump for the new well, deemed the cheapest option. City funds totaled 5594.71 with allocations to library, road, sinking and sewer funds.
