The Boston Ideal Uncle Tom's Cabin company drew a good sized Saturday night audience. Their band and orchestra were excellent and the performance was in better shape than most Uncle Tom companies operating today.
Little work by the fiends on Halloween night. A few overturned walks and stiles and some corn throwing were the only signs of mischief Saturday. Flags from Saturday stood divided the next morning. Party revelry occurred indoors. Likely boys saved energy for election night.

A Saturday blaze devastated Wayne destroying the bh. & N. W. depot and the general store. The loss hits the small town hard as the community awaits new business quarters to be built.
Last week Al Crone of the Leights fell from a corn crib twelve feet injuring his shoulder, loosening the shoulder cap, and he cannot work yet. He will wear a sling for some time. The South Street Literary Society will entertain their husbands at G. W. Dye's home this evening.
Members of the P. BE. O. Chapter held a Hallowe en gathering at Mrs. Charles Keck’s West Washington Street residence. Guests jumped crossed broomsticks, tasted sweet cider, and guessed book titles on fortunes. Lulu Patrick of HolFrege Neb won a prize for most correct guesses.
