Three Iowans held on gun violations
Ottumwa suspects David Eugene Kirkhart Charles Willard Denham and Orville Simmer Junior were arrested in a federal raid that seized 29 rifles four handguns and 15 savings bonds. They appeared before U.S. Magistrate Ronald Longstaff and are charged with dealing firearms without licenses.

Judge rejects injunction over absentee ballot delivery in Iowa

The autopsy results for Wayne Cady 26 of rural Walker who was shot to death outside Harding Junior High School in Cedar Rapids were due today. Graydon Caslavka 27 of Cedar Rapids was charged with murder after firing a .38 revolver at point blank range during the noon hour incident.
