Death of Lyle Edmondson Official War Department finds death
An official finding of death has been recorded for Staff Sergeant Lyle R. Edmondson, Air Corps, missing since May 24, 1944 after a B 17 mission over Berlin. The letter from Maj Gen J A Ulio notes no survival evidence after twelve months, setting a presumptive death date of May 25, 1945. His brothers Hadley and Willard Edmondson also served. Hadley was killed at George Field Illinois and Willard served in Germany.
