Riverside school bus and feed truck crash injures students
Two River side students were injured when the Riverside School bus collided with a feed truck on Highway 218 near the Washington Johnson county line Friday at 4 15 p m. The bus driven by John Tener stopped for a stop sign and pulled onto 218 reportedly failing to see the approaching truck driven by Joseph Galle. The truck went into a ditch and caught fire and the bus front end was sheared off. Patty Goodrich and Kim Ruth were hospitalized at Mercy in Iowa City then released. Others were checked by a local doctor and released. Tener was charged with failure to yield after stopping for a stop sign.
