Jury selection for the Jerry Mark murder trial enters its fourth day in Woodbury County District Court. Defense lawyer Lawrence Scalise and special prosecutor David Dutton are expected to challenge about eight prospective jurors to form a panel of 12 and at least one alternate. Mark, 33, of Berkley California, is charged with four counts of murder in the deaths of four family members. The trial, moved to Sioux City on a Black Hawk County venue change, had been delayed two weeks. Scalise and Dutton questioned 12 jurors yesterday. two were excused. A man was rejected by a joint court opinion and a woman was challenged for cause. Both sides have sifted through 29 prospective jurors thus far.
