Mrs Bedford, widow of Gunning Bedford, claimed the estate of Frederick Bedford, with a trust of 200000 to 400000 dollars, saying the child born in London on December 17 1902 is her daughter.
Indianapolis officials say within a month travelers can ride from Indianapolis to Cincinnati using the traction system. The project aims to expand regional transit and improve intercity connections.

In Chicago a dispute over Mia May Clay led George Hutchins to shoot Edward Ames twice at 748 West Madison. Hutchins and Ames fought with knives. both were wounded and arrested. Mrs Clay, former Hutchins wife, was also taken into custody.
George Engels a private in the First United States Infantry at Fort Brady was fatally stabbed by Larry Oliver a local Black man following an incident as Oliver walked home with his white wife. Oliver says soldiers attacked him first after taunts about the couple.
