Three Iowans plead guilty to unemployment benefit fraud
Joel D. LaRue of Bettendorf pleaded guilty to three counts of illegally receiving 508 dollars in benefits and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with suspended execution pending repayment plus a 100 dollar fine. George L. Haire of Sioux City admitted one count for 279 dollars and was fined 50 dollars with repayment ordered and two counts dismissed. James B. Surrett of Cedar Rapids admitted 373.50 dollars in benefits and was fined 65 dollars.
