Two crashes at busy North Second East Third intersection

A North Second and East Third collision injured four, as Connie L. McCray Dent Wellman and Edward A. Conner of Washington failed to yield. In a second crash James J. Bennett's northbound car was hit by Frank A. Mattison who reportedly ran a stop sign. four passengers were treated for cuts from flying glass.

Judge grants new trial in damage suit here

Judge R G Yoder sustains a motion for a new trial in a $100000 damage suit filed by Paul Louis Owen against William T Russell. The January 26 jury verdict for the defendant is to be vacated. The auto crash occurred September 22 1963, 1½ miles west and 1 mile south of West Chester. Ann Louise Russell died in the crash.

Viet Nam Allies claim victory over Viet Cong in ground actions

U S and allied forces say they have taken the initiative from Communist units with a week of ground actions in South Viet Nam and heavy air strikes on North Viet Nam. About 65 guerrillas were killed Tuesday, with 14 and 15 more killed by the 25th Infantry and 1st Air Cavalry divisions respectively.
