Verdi Man Adjudged Insane and Ordered to Mt Pleasant
Yesterday Chas Wilbur of Verdi was brought before insane commissioners, found insane, and ordered taken to Mt Pleasant. Deputy Black started with him. He had been at the asylum before, later lived with a Nebraska brother, and returned home where family feared for their safety. He grabbed an ax, causing alarm, and his mother stopped him as Levi Shidler intervened. Sheriff Teeter took action to remove him. Hope for cure is expressed.

Terry's Uncle Tom's Cabin Co. is in town near the Rock Island depot with horses and bloodhounds, planning a street parade and a fine band performance.
