DES MOINES UPI Senator Clifford M. Vance of Mount Pleasant was named to fill the unexpired term of the late Senator J Kendall Lynes on the legislative interim committee. Lt Governor Mooty also named Senator Richard C Turner of Council Bluffs to fill Vance's term on the legislative research committee. Turner is a 4 and attorney at Council Bluffs.

Oldest Keota resident E. E. Neal dies at 105
Edwin E. Neal, longtime Keota photographer and area figure, died Monday night at Shenk Rest Home in Wellman at age 105. Born February 16, 1857 in Crawfordsville, he moved to Keota in 1888 and lived there until entering the rest home. Survived by one son Dr. Roland Neal, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, plus relatives. Funeral arrangements are indefinite with Powell Funeral Home of Keota in charge.

Severe storms lash northwest Iowa. two girls injured at Sheldon
Night storms tore through northwest Iowa reaching Rock Rapids with a reported twister path.
