Grenade Attack Hits US Truck in Saigon Vigil
In Saigon a young Viet Cong agent threw a bread loaf concealing a grenade at a US Army truck. An American soldier fired on the fleeing assailant, who was wounded and hospitalized. The attacker, about 20, rode a bicycle on a busy street downtown.

Iowa State Group Plans Survey for Washington
Iowa Employment Security Commission official Ed Emerson announced in Washington that the community will be surveyed for its resources. The program operates in 11 states and five Iowa counties, funded by federal appropriations.
