Snake handler dies at church service in Mingo County
Curtis Mounts 61 was bitten twice on the arm by a cottonmouth during snake handling at Jesus Church on Ben Creek near Macewan in Mingo County and died Wednesday. Cousin Herbert Gibson said the snake struck as Mounts tried to remove it from a box. Mounts reportedly drank poison, though autopsy results were not yet available.

ISU approves June start for Centerville utility rate hike
