Moline Man Killed in First Flight of Self Built Plane
Floyd Kettner of Moline was killed when his self built airplane dived from about 500 feet during its first test flight at the Moline flying field. He had five years of pilot experience and was known in amateur circles. His widow and two children survive. Witnesses reported a wing buckled as the craft began to fall.

Death of Mrs Frances Coppock after long illness
Mrs Frances Catharine Coppock 11 years died yesterday at daughter’s home south of town after years of declining health from a fall injury. Born July 29, 1845 in Pennsylvania, she lived in Iowa and Kansas before settling near Washington and later moving to Washington city. Survived by nine children, 37 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many relatives. Funeral at the Methodist church Saturday at 2 pm under Dr W W Bowers with burial in Elm Grove cemetery.
