Red Brick school stage shows bright barn dance night
Twenty nine pupils from Red Brick school south of Washington performed musically at the YMCA gym. Under Mrs. C M Benson direction the hour and a half show drew over 800 attendees with solos, dances and baton twirling. Highlights included Bruty and Kiesey routines, a comical organ grinder piece, and a student choir of rhythm instruments. Cast members listed include Bob Bruty Judy Thompson Jerry Collett Nathan Sayre Danny Kiesey and many others. The production benefited from Serden's Music company piano donation.

Lie to Follow Up Moscow Parley By Talks With Big Three Leaders
UN Secretary General Trygve Lie said he will follow up his Moscow peace talks with discussions with the big three leaders. He will travel to Paris and London en route to New York and plans meetings with George Bidault Clement Attlee and later with Truman and Dean Acheson. Lie reported positive talks with Stalin Molotov Vishinsky and Gromyko and noted no final judgment is possible for two to three months. He spent 90 minutes with Stalin at the Kremlin Monday night.

High allied sources report Moscow has ordered West German communist leaders to go underground and link with extreme elements to discredit nationalists and neo Nazis. The move follows a purge of the West German party, with about 50 leaders deposed and even Max Reimann named. L P Beria supposedly sent orders via Walter Albright in Moscow on December 22.
