Tornado and hail storms hit Oklahoma towns

Helmet saves cyclist from serious injury
A 16-year-old Wayland motorcyclist, Jesse Delgado, was hospitalized with minor injuries after a car motorcyclist collision north of Coppock. His helmet and eye protection likely prevented more serious harm as his head and elbow were thrown through a windshield. The incident occurred at 7 10 p m on a gravel road when Delgado suddenly emerged from a field entrance. The car, driven by Joel V Reighard, struck the motorcycle broadside. Delgado faces pending charges.
