Mushroom hunter reports record find and harvest count

Richard Waltman brought a large yellow mushroom seven inches across the sponge portion to the Journal office. He said he found 100 of the motels during his hunt last evening, a notable exception amid a slower mushroom season.

Two Riverside Men Plead Guilty In OMVUS Charges

Two rural Riverside men Richard J. Frank 23 and Vern A Veggy 63 pleaded guilty in District Court to drink driving charges. Judge William Cahill fined each 300 dollars plus costs, revoked licenses, and ordered attendance at a drinking drivers school. Veggy received a 30 day jail sentence suspended and placed on probation under counselor Bob Gray.
