Funeral Sunday for Former Resident Joseph Sutton
Funeral services for Joseph Alonzo Sutton, a former Washington resident who died Thursday in Muscatine, will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. at Sherman's funeral home with Rev. Edgar Reiberanz officiating. Burial follows at Woodlawn cemetery. He was born December 19, 1887 in Arapahoe Nebraska and leaves a wife Nellie Wiley Sutton, a mother in Washington, two sons John in Albuquerque and Adriany in La Plata, four sisters and four grandchildren. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Masonic lodge and Knights of Pythias in Muscatine. He had lived in Muscatine about seven years.

Drivers Escape Injury In Crash Near Wayland
Daniel Roth nineteen in a head on collision with a Washington dairy truck driven by Jim Boyd north of Center chapel three miles east of Wayland.
