Snyder Oklahoma May 15 relief committee led by E K Dowden appeals for outside aid after a May 10 cyclone devastated the town. 300 families ruined 1 500 people dependent on charity. property losses over 4 million dollars. Wounded drenched by rains amid threats of a second tornado.
A tornado devastated a $25,000 residence and a $10,000 barn, causing extensive property loss. Officials assess damage and secure the area as residents begin cleanup and recovery efforts.
Harrisburg May 13 two more victims die from the Cleveland and Cincinnati express wreck on the Pennsylvania railroad near South Harrisburg bringing total dead to twenty two. Several remain unidentifiable while others at hospital are not expected to survive.

Hospitals treat 45 wounded. several prominent residents are reported dying in Lawton and Springfield.

Washington May 13. W A Northcott of Greenville named United States district attorney and A L Townsend of Galesburg named United States marshal for the new Illinois district created at the last Congress session.
An explosion at a United Gas Improvement tank in Point Breeze Philadelphia leaves two dead two missing two fatally injured and nine seriously hurt. Five plant buildings damaged four painters blown from a building two of them missing. Thirty nearby workers burned with nine seriously hurt as one man is carried 150 yards and five others 800 feet. Some casualties are treated at a nearby dwelling field.
Kansas City reports William J. Bryan as guest of honor at a Knife and Fork Club banquet. He made a complimentary allusion to President Roosevelt. The May 13 event highlighted Bryan's remarks and the club’s civic tone.
Special to Evening Journal from St Petersburg reports Vice Admiral Nozitoff was shot and killed today by an orderly who fired three times with a revolver. The motive cited is the murderer's anger at being sent to the front.

Philadelphia May 13 Lomerson E Bennett a well known writer and composer died at the Masonie home in this city age 81. Born Monson Massachusetts he produced songs A Prairie Flower and Leni Leote and wrote fiction including The Phantom of the Forest Border Rover The Outlaw's Daughter and others

Herbert V. Croker son of Richard Croker was found dead on a southbound Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe train between Kansas City and Newton Kansas. He reportedly sought a hop joint with a Black porter aiding him to the train and later died, with Chas Woodson identified as the man who helped Croker onto the train and escorted him to a Chinese resort before presentation of the train timetable.
New York May 13 President Harper of the University of Chicago has returned from a trip to Montreal and will resume mileage soon. He reports his health improving and that the cancerous growth for which he had an operation is decreasing steadily.
A Los Angeles dispatch reports BK Ho Harriman of the Southern Pacific has acquired the La Dura mine holdings in Sonora Mexico near the Yaqui river head for about one million dollars.
Lloyd Par rar, a Chicago civil engineer and inspector in charge of government work at Southwest Pass, drowned while bathing in the Mississippi. His body will be brought to Chicago by a government tug. His mother and sisters lie in Chicago.
