May 12 Columbus Junction Iowa. Louis D MecKeone 32 of Muscatine was killed in a primary road No 2 collision between Ainsworth and Cotter. His passenger Otler also of Muscatine survived injuries. The Texas car owner Charles Lockwood and driver John Gordon both workers on a natural gas pipeline were involved along with Dan Magana and daughter Cegeta. Weathered by a heavy rain the two cars collided on a small hill leaving MecKeone dead before reaching a doctor.

J oJ Melheone of Washington says funeral services will be held in Muscatine probably Wednesday with burial there. The deceased lived in Muscatine for over six years and worked for Mid Continent Toy Co. Surviving are his father of Washington, his widow Laura Koolman of Muscatine, a son James five, two brothers Leonard and Bernard of Washington, and a sister Mrs Madeline Sutter of Devon Iowa. He was born in Keokuk, lived in Washington since age one, attended St James Church and later Marys Church in Muscatine.
