The Old Creamery Theatre Company performs this adult comedy at 8 p.m. in the Washington High School auditorium tonight. The same group will present Plaza Suite Saturday at 8 p.m. at the high school. Tickets are $2 and sold at the door.
Three youths were turned over to county juvenile authorities after a break-in at the Amvets Club in Richmond. Washington County sheriff's officers arrested them following a resident sighting of the theft and their loading beer into a car. Ages were 16, 16, and 15. all from the Hills area.
A special Wellman town council session is scheduled for Monday May 13 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building to set a date for a public hearing on purchasing off-street parking sites.
Two Fayette sisters are hospitalized in good condition after their cars, both owned by their father, collided head on on a gravel road southwest of West Union. Julia Springer 19 was cited for being left of center. Sue Springer 17 was the other driver.

A Washington city police car driven by Officer Ronnie Rich chased Timothy James Rich and two other motorcyclists riding without lights on Sunset Park grass. The pursuit ended when the cycle skidded at Hayes Timber, with the rider thrown and struck by the patrol car. The motorcycle sustained about 400 dollars in damage. the police car remained undamaged.
A hearing by the Iowa Commerce Commission into Iowa Southern Utilities Co. rates was postponed from Monday to June 10. The extension was sought by the utility due to witness availability, while the staff contends the company can cut about 2.4 million dollars annually from consumer bills and still earn a reasonable profit.

Tom O Connell of Decatur Illinois a former operator of bingo games at Cedar Rapids Montrose Hotel was arrested by Des Moines County deputies at the Plaza Hotel Burlington. He faces four charges including running a raffle above legal limits posting required game rules and operating on rented premises without a license with bond set at 2000.
Secretary of State Kissinger met Israeli leaders for about 75 minutes and voiced guarded optimism on a troop disengagement with Syria. An official pegged success chances at 52-48 as discussions focused on detailed elements of a potential agreement. Funding comes from revenue bonds 2.5 million UNI foundation 2 million and institutional funds 300 thousand. The facility will host football basketball track wrestling concerts plays and other activities with a governing board to schedule uses and avoid conflicts.
