Knights Observe Ascension Day Observances at Bethlehem Commandery
The Bethlehem Commandery held Ascension Day with many members attending despite intermittent rain. Autos to Wellman and Keota were canceled due to mud. Knights in regalia gathered at the temple, decorated graves in Elm Grove Cemetery, and heard a keynote address by Rev. F. M. Warren. A 6:20 PM dinner at the Asylum followed, hosted by Eastern Star ladies, with praise for the banquet and a final report from Sir Knight Perry of Ovkalooea confirming a creditable showing.

Registrars and locations are listed for Ainsworth, Washington, West Chester, Brighton, Riverside, Kalona, and Wollman. It is expected about 175 new names will be added, likely 10 percent of last year’s total, aiming for roughly 22 000 in Iowa.
