John Winga Sr is a patient at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Warren Dare, badly injured in an auto accident, was moved from Louisville to Evanston Hospital room 3227 in Til. He will remain hospitalized for some time and welcomes letters. Raymond Coleman is a patient at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, room 3018 for tests. Mrs Lester Fry and families attended the funeral of Mrs Harley McDowell in Marion. McDowell was sister to Mrs Fry and Mrs Ross.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kephart marked their silver anniversary with an open house at their Brighton area farm. About 100 friends registered, hosted by Janet Kephart and aided by relatives including Joyce Lins and numerous attendees from nearby towns. The blue and white theme matched the wedding colors, with a three tier cake and floral details. guests poured coffee and served cake under a family celebration atmosphere.
