Rubio Jubilee planned with parade for August event in Rubio
A Rubio Community Building gathering outlined the August 7 and 8 Jubilee in Rubio with a parade run by Charles Blakely and entries from any town. Plans include a time capsule, bicentennial flags, a memorial American flag, and street closures with National Guard parking. Activities feature antique displays, commemorative sales, games, dunking machine, Anything Goes contest, and an evening movie in the park. Sunday services at Rubio Friends church lead to a reunion day and gospel program by the Don Mullikin family.
