In Keota on April 28 Mrs. Dora Martin welcomed thirteen members and one guest Cindy Sheets to her home. Club president Mrs. Mabel Helscher led roll call, a bulb and plant exchange, and quiz games coordinated by Mrs. Elizabeth Wright and Erma Hahn. Refreshments were served by the hostess with help from Mrs. Marge Van Sickle.
Local society items recount visits and greetings among residents of Keota, Lisbon, Anamosa, and nearby towns. Notables include Rev. S C Picken and relatives traveling to Plattsburgh, Haverstraw, Montpelier, and Chicago, plus visitors to Mrs Jennie Harris and Mrs Irvine Acheson.
