In Willows California an eucalyptus tree described by the owner as having the world’s largest burls was felled. The tree stood about 120 feet tall and 50 years old with burls measuring four by six feet.

Charles Lee a 65 year old fisherman digging clams on a North Estham beach unearthed five half dimes. The oldest coin is dated 1841 and the newest 1854 highlighting a rare early U S coin cache found during routine shellfishing.
