Boy Loses Three Teeth After Bat Collision At School
Rudy Allison a sixth grader at Stewart School is resting after a recess accident. A swinging baseball bat struck him as the whistle blew, cracking three front teeth and sending him home with dental work to remove the remnants. The boy, son of Mr and Mrs James Allison of 317 North Avenue C, said it didn’t hurt much and will miss days at school to heal.

Rites Saturday For Mrs. Blake of Letts
Funeral services for Mrs. Everette Blake of Letts will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Stacy Funeral Home at Columbus Junction. She died after a two car crash at a Wapello street intersection. Bruce Lott of Sigourney was involved. he escaped serious injuries. Born May 26 1892, she was married Feb. 27 1927 to Everette Blake, who survives along with one son Madelee of Letts one daughter Wynonnie Haines of Ainsworth a brother Charles Blake of Muscatine eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

About 150 people attended the Soil Conservation dinner at the YMCA where votes were cast for a new soil conservation commissioner. World War I Veterans Elect Delegates to District Convention
World War I veterans named delegates to the district convention at their meeting Tuesday evening. Delegates include Myri Steele, Harry Ramseyer, Claude McCoy, S. W.
