Married Alva L Whetstine July 15 1903 he died August 7 1953. Survived by daughter W E McWilliams two grandsons six great grandsons one great granddaughter. Six brothers and two sisters preceded.

Mary Rita Denton Dies at 84 in Sigourney Hospital

Mrs. Mary Rita Denton of Kinross died Wednesday at Keokuk County Hospital Sigourney aged 84. Funeral at Sacred Heart Church Kinross Saturday at 9 am with burial in Little Creek Cemetery. Rosary Friday at Powell Funeral Home Wellman. Survivors include three sons a daughter 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son an infant daughter and three brothers.

Municipal Band Plans First Rehearsal on April 9

Cuban Tribunal Opens For Bay of Pigs Prisoners In Havana

In Havana the trial of 1,182 Bay of Pigs prisoners began at Principe Prison. A five man military panel heard the case with no public news access and no outside defense. Officials did not reveal charges as about 1,000 onlookers gathered outside amid cautious government restrictions.

Wayland Seniors Stage Play And Spring Concert Planned

Wayland High School seniors will perform their class play on April 5 and 6 in the high school gym. The production, Nine Girls, features an all-girl cast. The school chorus and band will present a spring concert at 7 30 p m on April 11 in the gym.
