A Pan American Constellation clipper arrived from Seattle at 7 47 a m PST completing the first commercial airplane flight between the Orient and the United States along the Great Circle route. Captain C F Maxwell piloted Seattle to San Francisco in 3 hours 22 minutes and described Tokyo to Seattle as routine.
