Jacob Webster Rader died at his Brighton home after illness spanning two years beginning with influenza. John Anwyl injured in hit and run on highway
Crawfordsville March 27. A hit and run driver struck John Anwyl on the No 161 pavement half a mile south of town Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Vina Catherine Spera 85 died Saturday evening at her daughter’s home in Washington Iowa. Funeral services were held at Sherman's Funeral Home with Dr F C Witzigman of the Methodist Church in charge. The body will go to Decatur Illinois for services and interment at Boiling Springs Cemetery. She was born November 1 1817 in mew Mechauiseville Virginia. She married William Spera December 29 1868 and moved to Decatur in 1893. She later lived with her daughter in Winterset Iowa then Washington since 1919. Survived by five children J A Spera Winterset Mrs J A Weaver Wichita Kansas Mrs W L Bible and W H Spera Washington plus nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother J M Shoemaker Mechanicsville is living.
