Two Sentenced Today After Wrecking Car on Brighton Road
David Dean Sylvester of Highland Center and Robert William Bowersock of Hedrick were sentenced in Justice of the Peace E. D. Rayburn's court after a 90 mile per hour chase from Ainsworth Junction to Brighton ended in a wreck near the Skunk river bridge. Bowersock was fined 100 dollars for aiding and abetting the misdemeanor. Sylvester faces further sentencing for reckless driving and disobeying a peace officer. Two local girls injured, one released.

Mrs. C. E. Nicholson Dies at Mt Pleasant Nursing Home
Mrs. C E Nicholson 6 of Mt Union route 1 died Thursday noon at Whaley nursing home Mt Pleasant after two years of heart disease and two months of serious illness. Born Oct 11 188% to Henry and Martha Brillman Lauderman she married Charles Edwin Nicholson July 12 1899. She lived in Iowa most of life and belonged to the Christian church. Surviving are husband five sons William Lockridge Stephen Robert Charles and John and four daughters Mrs Sam Lambert Mrs Oscar Sward Mrs Ralph Beaty and Mrs Basil Derby eighty? grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending arrival of relatives Jones funeral home in charge.
