Nine local stores will sponsor a fashion style show at the armory as part of Javeve Farmer Appreciation days Trade Show. The event starts Thursday at 7 30 p.m. with local models and commentary by Donald Palmer Benblossom. Music by Organist John Yousting and vocal numbers by Charles Luckenbill accompany the showcase. Prizes include a year’s supply of nylon hose from Rothschilds a $15 dress from Duncan’s Store and a $10 hat from Bridges for attendees who register at Central Park.

Mrs Roy Farris of Cedar Rapids died at St Luke's hospital Monday night March 17 after a short illness. Funeral services were held today at 1 30 p m at the Jamaica funeral chapel in Cedar Rapids. Burial was in Elm Grove cemetery. Fern Edna Reeves born 1890 in Washington county was a daughter of Alvin and Nellie Sterling Reeves. She married Everette Teets in 1915 who died in 1940. On March 2 1951 she married Roy Farris of Cedar Rapids. Survived by husband son Doyle Teets of Palo Alto California and sister Faye Reeves of Washington.
