Packers lose bid to cancel 1920 consent decree
The U S Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision announced by Justice Brandeis, said it has jurisdiction to review the case and upheld the District of Columbia Supreme Court ruling dismissing the Swift and Armour petition to set aside the 1920 anti trust decree. The decree barred packers Swift Armour Cudahy Wilson and Morris from stock holdings in stockyard and rail firms and from certain wholesale merchandising.

Wilbur Sees Navy Costs Focused on Training Men
Secretary of the Navy Wilbur told Pittsburgh's Century Club that most naval spending goes to training enlisted men and maintaining the establishment. He said new ships authorized by Congress form a very small portion of annual costs and described the navy as an educational institution training boys from city and farm to be skilled pilots and officers. He added that sailors also learn domestic skills like cooking and caring for their quarters.

Funeral of Mrs. Emma Johnson Held in West Chester Area
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Johnson widow of Charles Johnson were held at two o clock this afternoon at the family home four miles north of West Chester. Dr F W Eastwood of Washington officiated with a quartet from the West Chester Methodist church providing music. Burial followed in Elm Grove cemetery with pallbearers Emil and Axel Anderson George Carlson J E Larson J L Johnson and Gus Strum. Mrs Johnson born in Tlinois to Swedish natives would have been 71 next Friday March 29. She leaves one son Clarence Johnson. husband died in a runaway in April 1921 and another son William died in a tractor accident in April 1922.
