Moscow reports Lt. Col. Alexei Leonov leaves the Voskhod II for about 20 minutes in orbit, floating 10 minutes free with a lifeline. He photographed Earth, conducted experiments, and returned safely. Belyayev remained inside as Leonov conducted the world first spacewalk during the second orbit at 17,500 mph and a 300 mile Earth distance.
