Warrant Issued in Henry County Hy-Vee Robbery
Henry County District Court issued a warrant for Des Moines man Alton Franks 28 in the Hy-Vee theft here last December. Franks awaiting trial in Scott County on a speeding charge faces robbery with aggravation and faces related charges for a Rock Island Illinois store robbery. Franks had about 18000 on arrest. His companion Phillip Cuevas 31 already received a 10 year sentence for robbery without aggravation.

Gov. Robert D. Ray signs into law a comprehensive home rule bill granting self governing rights to Iowa municipalities.
