Mother Abandons Twin Girls at Hospital in Mishawaka
Two day old twin girls were left at St Joseph hospital after their mother Mrs Mildred Johnson declined to see them. Police found her collapsed in a restaurant. welfare officials planned to place the babies for adoption. The mother had about 90 cents and gave no address.

Trenton Resident Pleasant Hedger Dies at 68
Mrs. Pleasant Hedger, 68, of Trenton died at 6:50 this morning after two years of heart trouble. Funeral services under Stacy Funeral Home in Wayland will be held with interment at the Hedger home in Trenton. Survivors include her husband and nine children living in Huston, Danville, Crawfordsville, Aledo, Mt. Pleasant, Moline, and other relatives. A brother and sister also survive.
