Des Moines reports commercial meat production in Iowa rose to 264,494,000 pounds in January, up two percent from December. The January 1951 total, 268,108,000 pounds, surpassed by slightly, and includes federally inspected plants and other wholesale and retail slaughter but excludes farm slaughter. The ten year average shows cherries equate to 10 to 15 pounds of roasted coffee.
