Neon Sign Installed On Front Of YMCA Builds Community Pride
The Washington YMCA unveiled a bright neon sign on its front facade Tuesday afternoon and used it last night for the first time. Artemas Brown YMCA secretary says the sign is a gift from a friend of the Y. He also notes gym mats, another gift, will arrive soon and additional equipment requests have been made to boost the center’s service to residents. A $50 pledge toward equipment purchases has been received.

Parolee Convicted on New Charges Faces Seven Year Term

Boy Scouts Waste Paper Drive Planned in Washington
Washington Boy Scouts launch a waste paper drive on Saturday March 11 to raise funds for sending local Scouts to the national jamboree at Valley Forge National Shrine in July.
