Iowa corn loan officials have traveled to Lincoln Nebraska to confer with Governor Cochran and Nebraska legislators on enacting a warehouse law.
In Des Moines about 300 doctors sanatorium officials and Christmas seal workers will gather for the Iowa Tuberculosis association annual meeting on March 22.
Primary road bonds totaling 640000 will be offered for sale by County Treasurer W C Hoth at the courthouse in Waverly until 10 a m Wednesday March 13. The bonds will date May 1 1935 and mature from 1936 to 1948.
Des Moines reports Duane Reda of Shenandoah is among six nominees for a June vacancy on the state pharmacy board revealed by Governor Clyde L. Herring.
In Des Moines the legislature debated a clash between AAA crop reduction mandates and Iowa law. Rep. Robert D. Blue of Eagle Grove introduced a bill to repeal a statute imposing a fine up to 1000 dollars for waste of food products to increase price.
Burlington report states Deputy Sheriff Herman Sandberg rode four muddy miles to serve notices to farmers in Middledown Iowa using a horse as the auto failed. He traveled Des Moines county terrain to deliver legal documents.

Iowa Falls John Harms of Steamboat Rock remains in grave condition at Ellsworth hospital after his left foot was amputated following a severe cut from a circular wood saw Saturday. He was helping a neighbor cut wood when the accident happened. First aid was given by CCC boys from Eldora camp nearby.
Forty nine head of horses were sold at Midway Sales pavilion in Columbus Junction on Wednesday. Three pairs of matched mares brought 275, 287.50 and 822.50 dollars. top horse sold for 160 dollars. Three spans of mules sold at 200 dollars per span. Pure bred Angus milk cows sold at 100 dollars, heifers 87.50, spring bulls 70, stock cattle 54 to 7 cents per pound, shoats 8 cents, spring gifts 28.50, sheep 8.50, White Rock hens 85 cents and Irish potatoes 1.25 per hundred pounds.
Iowa Republicans push a bill to repeal the sales tax in full while another measure would raise the gasoline tax from three to four and a half cents a gallon. The senate debates embargo suggestions on grain and livestock imports and considers a ten mile tax on trucks. The salary reduction act advances to the senate appropriations committee amid expected amendments.

Collis Peet of Cedar Rapids narrowly escaped serious injury when a Minnesota registered car forced the Linn County Candy truck into a ditch near Washington. Peet, brother of Supt J H Peet, was unhurt though his light truck and the other vehicle sustained damage. The Minnesota driver fled the scene and had not been located.
