Workers at Advance Ross Manufacturing in Washington and Burlington voted 150 to 69 against representation by the United Auto Workers Union. Ballots were cast 2:30 to 3:30 Tuesday afternoon with count in Burlington. Company officials said the result shows a vote of confidence in management and plant conditions.

Plaque Honoring Iowa Dental Health Efforts At Stewart Lincoln Schools
Dr. George Krogmeier presented a plaque at Stewart School recognizing 10 years of dental health program participation by Stewart and Lincoln grade schools. The two sites recorded 94 and 80 percent student dentist visits, with Stewart reaching 100 percent in two years and Lincoln 87 percent overall. Des Moines—A statewide meeting was set for Friday at the Governor's Office to consolidate plans for Operation Snow Go to combat spring floods from heavy snow. Adjutant General Junior F.
