Moscow reports mark ten years since Joseph Stalin's death with subdued observance as Khrushchev's de Stalinization push erodes his legacy. Visitors to the Lenin mausoleum pass Stalin's grave near the Kremlin wall, while official calendars omit the anniversary. The campaign labels his era as responsible for Russia's past ills, seeking to downplay his memory across the Soviet bloc.

Fluffing and Sprouting Normal for New Carpets

A county extension director explains that carpet fluffing and sprouting are common in new carpets. Fluffing is shedding lint from cut pile ends and will not affect wear or appearance. Sprouting means yarn strands loosen and should be clipped, not pulled, as surrounding yarns rebalance and overall quality remains intact.
