Rasmington city police investigated two weekend break ins totaling three scenes. A car at Glandon D X Station West Madison Street at 1 45 a m led to a chase northward after a coin box was stolen from a soft drink machine. Culligan Water Conditioning saw a broken west door and theft from drink and candy machines. Jere K Covington's Route 1 Ainsworth home was broken into Sunday or today via a rear door. about $2 50 in change plus rings and watches were taken.

Washington High Jazz Band Members Win Musicianship Awards
Jazz musicians Terry Burkum and Mark Ballard of the Washington High School Jazz Band received outstanding musicianship awards at the Northeast Missouri State University jazz festival on Saturday March 2.
