Separately two Carlisle High School dropouts, Michael Crail and Thomas Dawson, both 18, were charged with breaking and entering and vandalism causing about 10 000 dollars damage. WV mine reservoirs probed as Buffalo Creek flood victims cope
Investigators searched unsafe coal mine reservoirs in West Virginia while Buffalo Creek refugees worked to restore normalcy after the flood. Bloody Sunday killings linked to army rifles in Londonderry
Scientists told a British tribunal investigating the Jan. 30 Londonderry shootings that all 13 victims appear to have been shot by army rifles, while tests show only six victims may have fired weapons themselves. The army has said troops fired only at gunmen and bomb-throwers and that some victims could have been killed by gunmen.

Five-car pileup damages cars injures teen in Washington
At 11 45 am five cars were damaged in a five car pileup at the southeast corner of Washington square. Albert Reed Moore 17 of Washington suffered broken ribs and head lacerations. Robert Jule Genck of Washington was charged with failure to stay. The Washington County Developmental Center, formerly a Pepsi warehouse, is being renovated into a facility serving handicapped persons in Washington and nearby counties. A $2000 grant from the Washington County Association for Retarded Children plus matching funds from Developmental Disabilities Inc funds, and about $4000 in donations support the project. Local carpenter Dumont provides pro bono labor, and lumber firms donate materials. The center is a joint effort with JCSS and local educational administrators, led by Dr Myron W Rode. The facility will serve all handicapped individuals regardless of age or disability.
