Two Bank Bandits Sought After Iowa Heist in Snowbound Chase
The Farmers Savings Bank of Wever Iowa was robbed of 4375 at noon as two armed men fled southwest on Highway 1 in a green Chevrolet with out of state plates. Cashier Flora Patton 22 was left on the floor and struck but uninjured. Authorities from Iowa Illinois and Missouri pressed a snowbound search with leads proving false as they tracked the car toward Fort Madison.
